We at Johnson City First Christian are from varied backgrounds with varied passions about our savior.  We believe our mission is to connect with people and lead them into an authentic and growing relationship with Jesus Christ by creating environments where people are equipped and encouraged to experience personal growth in unconditional love and obedience to our Lord.   Our purpose as a church is to create a home of love and truth for all of those seeking the Lord.  We open ourselves, our community and our building.  Come and join us in our celebration of Jesus Christ; learning, praying and worshiping together in harmony.

Johnson City First Christian Church is a historic, downtown, non-denominiation congregation located in Johnson City, Texas.  Members reside throughout Johnson City and the surrounding counties. We welcome you to worship with us and join us in community. The facility is accessible for those with disabilities.

Johnson City First Christian Church was established in the early 1900's.  The sanctuary was built shortly thereafter and remains in use today.  In the mid-1960's,  a fellowship hall was constructed and major renovations completed to the main building. Shortly after the turn of this century, the fellowship hall was enlarged with the addition of five classrooms, new restrooms and a newly renovated kitchen.  As we near the end of the decade, we are updating the sanctuary, creating a space that can be utilized for generations to come.

Each Sunday and weekday, any visitor who leaves a name and telephone number is contacted by phone, and is then sent a packet of information on the mission and ministry of Johnson City First Christian Church.

Periodically, a casual supper is hosted at the pastor's home, or another church member's home, to introduce new people to each other, to the clergy, to church leaders, and to other church staff members and members of the congregation.

Johnson City First Christian Church offers a wide range of ministries to newcomers, including ministries for children, youth, young adults, and older adults.
